A vase about being alone, finally. On one side, a woman has the house all to herself, so she pops open a bottle of wine and gets comfy on the couch with a book. She's reading a biography about Princess Di and has a couple of other good books in the queue - including Derek Jarman's Modern Nature and a book about Rome. On the other side we see a close up of her yellow ottoman and the painting hanging on her wall.
The imagery on this vase is made through sgraffito, underglaze, and decals to create an intricately layered image that has a lot of fun things to discover.
Dimensions - 5" x 6" x 2.75"
Each piece is wonkily handbuilt. If you are looking for a pristine piece of handmade ceramics then this is not it! It is built securely but with character. It is food and microwave safe, but I would recommend lovingly hand-washing it. Each piece is one of a kind, made out of earthenware clay and painstakingly sgraffito-ed with goofy imagery.
