This one is really special! It's a drawing of an imaginary museum wall featuring drawings of non-imaginary paintings and a Greek amphora. Each drawing of a piece of art is based off of a real painting (or vessel) that depicts a Greco-Roman myth as described in Ovid's Metamorphoses. There's ornate black wallpaper behind all of the art. This dish is 13" x 11" x 2". It's great for charcuterie or even a whole chicken. It has little nubs on the back with holes so you can hang it in your own museum, but also feel free to use it with food!
Each piece is wonkily handbuilt. If you are looking for a pristine piece of handmade ceramics then this is not it! It is built securely but with character. It is food and microwave safe, but I would recommend lovingly hand-washing it. Each piece is one of a kind, made out of earthenware clay and painstakingly sgraffito-ed with goofy imagery.
