A simple thank you to America's Sweetheart, Julia Roberts, in the form of a serving bowl. One of my favorite forms to make, this bowl is handbuilt and then decorated with hand drawings by yours truly. A pattern of pink tulips and leaves dances on the outside and movie posters around the interior edge celebrate her most famous (and romantic) roles. Drawings of Mystic Pizza, Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, Erin Brockovich, My Best Friend's Wedding, Steel Magnolias, and the Pelican Brief are etched into the clay using the sgraffito technique and hand painted. Why not get a little romantic?
This bowl is a medium sized serving bowl and measures 4" x 9" x 9"
Each piece is wonkily handbuilt and hand-drawn. Each line and color is done by me! If you are looking for a pristine piece of handmade ceramics then this is not it! It is built securely but with character. It is food and microwave safe, but I would recommend lovingly hand-washing it. Each piece is one of a kind, made out of earthenware clay and sgraffito-ed with goofy imagery.
